Before You Hire
Choosing a home organizer can feel like a daunting task. You need to feel comfortable bringing a stranger into your home and allowing them access to some of your most personal things. That’s not easy. That’s why I offer a reduced consultation fee ($50) if you choose to meet before we begin.

During this 30-60 minute session, I’m able to assess and evaluate the areas you’d like to work on and how best to proceed. It’s also a good time to get to know each other a bit to make sure it’s a good fit. Some people skip the consultation altogether and are ready to get to work. Either is fine with me. It’s really important to me that you are comfortable with me and your decision to hire me. Check out my FAQs section for more information.
Getting Started
Once a client decides to hire me, we arrange to meet at their house and I get right to work. The process is generally the same, regardless of the project.

1. I remove everything from the problem area (garage, pantry, closet, etc).

2. I sort all the items that I removed into piles of “like items”. This is always an important step because it allows the client to see how many of a certain item they have.

3. This is where you-the client- come in for the most important part…. Editing out what you don’t need any more! (Do I really need 7 flashlights or 18 hand towels?) Once you edit out what is not conducive to your life anymore, I will help you figure out what to do with the things you’re getting rid of -trash, sell, or donate.

4. Finally, together we have pared down the things that genuinely make you happy and things that are useful and functional for where you are in your life. I take these remaining, wonderful things and put them back in a logical and accessible place that makes sense to you.

At last, what you’re left with are the things that you use and love. They are easy to find and don’t have to compete for space with things that no longer serve you.
